Privacy Policy
Last updated · 12 January 2024
This site is a static publication. It has no accounts, no comment forms, no tracking pixels and no advertising networks. The amount of personal data involved in reading it is close to zero — this page explains the small remainder.
Server logs
Like every website, ours sits on a server that keeps standard technical logs: the pages requested, the time of the request, an IP address and a browser identifier. These logs exist for security and troubleshooting, are never combined with other data sources, and are rotated automatically.
Email correspondence
If you write to [email protected], we store your message and our reply so the conversation makes sense. We use your address only to answer you. We do not add correspondents to mailing lists, and we do not share messages with third parties unless you explicitly ask us to.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own and embeds no third-party services that would set any. There is nothing to accept, refuse or configure — the site works identically either way.
Analytics
We do not run behavioural analytics. Our sense of what readers value comes from the emails they send us, not from dashboards. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before anything is switched on.
External references
Our articles mention festivals and institutions for editorial purposes, but we deliberately avoid embedding third-party content. Following your own path to a festival's official website is a matter between you and them — their policies apply there.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time what correspondence of yours we hold, request a copy of it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond promptly.
Changes to this policy
If the way this site handles data changes, we will revise this page and update the date above. The current version always applies.
